  Information:
This application example shows clearly, that the digital x-ray imaging offers the possibility to inspect several sources of trouble within only one x-ray process. Missing or misplaced components can be detected as fast as faulty soldering joints and contacts, breaks in the heating element or also missing bolt connections, as well as deformations of the outer shape.

  Possibilities of inspection:
cable disruptions / defective connections and contacts / missing components / breaks of the heating element / position of components

  X-ray image: Filament inside a heating rod

  Information:
In the production of heating elements, the distance between the inboard filament and the outer wall has to be kept. If the distance is too small, a critical short circuit can occur during the later operation.

  Possibilities of inspection:
cable disruption / pinch-off of the heating spiral / defective joints / wrong position of the heating spiral
