During image acquisition, either the test object (<b>2<\/b>) or the camera (<b>1<\/b>) including the X-ray source (<b>4<\/b>) is moved linearly in a scanning process. The signal from the X-ray detector is continuously read out and digitized by ultra-fast A\/D converters with 12 bits (= 4096 grayscales).
